Senior Minister - Gary Formby

Currently finishing five years as the Huntsville District Superintendent, North Alabama Conference, The United Methodist Church serving on the Cabinet with Bishop Robert Fannin and serving the sixty four churches in Madison and Jackson Counties. Has twenty four years of service as a United Methodist Pastor including service in these Churches: Lester Memorial, Oneonta; First United Methodist Church, Dadeville; DeArmanville United Methodist Church, Anniston;  Latham United Methodist Church Associate, Huntsville. Has twenty years service as a Chaplain in the Army National Guard, including ten months of active duty in Desert Storm. Graduate of: Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia with A Master of Divinity,1978. Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville Alabama, Bachelor of Arts, 1975.  Cherokee County High School, Centre Alabama, 1971. Answered the call to preach out of Centre First United Methodist Church. Is married to the former Donna Lindsey of Centre, Alabama, also a graduate of Cherokee County high School and Jacksonville State University with a B.S. degree in Nursing. Donna is a registered nurse. Continuing Education for the Reverend Formby has included seven years in the first peer preaching group in the Methodist Educational Leave Society.
