Employment at FUMC


First United Methodist Church in Florence, Alabama is seeking a full-time (35-40 hours/week) Video Producer to join our staff to lead all video productions and weekly streaming of our worship services. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of best practices and experience in pre-production, filming, editing, post production, and internet distribution of video content.



  • Work collaboratively with other staff to create and produce videos for all FUMC Ministries as needed

  • Direct livestream production for weekly worship services (currently Sunday mornings at 10:45am) and other church sponsored events as needed

  • Direct or assist in the production of weekly pre-recorded service, First Worship.

  • Work with the Senior Pastor, Director of Worship and Arts, and additional staff to create meaningful worship experiences through video, and engaging, inspiring, and creative content that furthers the mission of First United Methodist Church.

  • Attend production, worship planning, staff and other meetings as needed.

  • Help staff and volunteers achieve excellence in production standards for all worship services and broadcasts. Provide training as needed.

  • Maintain equipment logs and report necessary maintenance



  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Film, or other related field with 3+ additional years of field experience.

  • Visual storyteller and creative thinker

  • Extensive experience working with DSLR cameras and digital camcorders, lighting rigs, and audio for video.

  • Experience working with streaming video/webcasting platforms.

  • Experience working with Blackmagic Video Switcher (or similar)

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, OBS, Pro Presenter and other video production softwares

  • Experience with storyboarding, scripting, concepting, shot lists, and other related field skills

  • Ability to teach/train volunteer production team members in best video/broadcast practices

  • Ability to work as a team member with a positive attitude
