“I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.” (Luke 2:10b-11, NRSVue)
We’ve had a wonderful Advent so far with families of all types assisting with the lighting of the Advent Candles, our Confirmation Class joining the church, our Children’s Program presenting the Bethlehem Express, and our amazing Adult Choir’s Cantata. But there’s more to come. This Sunday is the Fourth Sunday of Advent, the final Sunday before we celebrate the Nativity of Jesus on Wednesday, December 24th. Here’s a breakdown of our upcoming worship and activity schedule:

Please note the worship schedule for the 28th, when we will have only one worship service at 11:00 a.m. If you have not had the chance to participate in Family Worship, you will love seeing our children lead us in worship. It’s only a 30-minute worship service, but it’s 30 minutes of inspiration that will bless you for the entire week. For the folks who are accustomed to showing up at 11:00 a.m., you get the benefit of your usual worship time with a dose of Messianic prophecy from Isaiah 11:6, “and a little child shall lead them.”
Please invite your family and friends to participate in all these activities. The joy of Christmas increases when we can share it with others!
